Hope it's alright @lum words: 0511 | Kotaro had been waiting for the better part of a hour for the employees of the restaurant to finish cleaning and otherwise preparing the business for closing. For that entire time the young boy had been forced to hide in a nearby alleyway, surrounded by garbage. While he had thankfully found a clean box to sit on and had managed to keep clean, the alley still reeked and it was annoying to say the least. Still, he was happy to sit there all day if that was what it took for him to hit this target. He had heard that his father's former company had enjoyed many meals here and had purchased the place after the former owner had died so as to continue using it for business meetings and the like. It annoyed him to no end that the company would buy such a business simply because it would inconvenience them if it were to change. In his eyes it just proved that he was doing the right thing. Sitting in the darkness of the alleyway, Kotaro saw that the last employee was finally leaving, locking the door before they walked away. After they left, Kotaro waved his hand, starting a timer on the neuro link that was attached to his neck. He planned to wait twenty minutes. At that point he'd do all the damage he could in five and be on his way before anyone could call the disturbance in. Sitting there waiting for the time to count down, Kotaro went over a mental list in his head. He had his gloves on, the cuffs of his pants and sleeves were taped down, his loose hair had been pulled back and stuffed under a beanie as best he could, his goggles were in place to hide the color of his eyes and the two implements he planned to use were wiped down to ensure no fingerprints were on them. It was a tedious list, but one he had made sure to check every time before he indulged in his own little private war. The list helped to keep him from being identified and ensured that he could continue to pursue his other goal. "Alright. . . It's time." Standing, Kotaro moved to rush out towards the restaurant. Before he could reach the mouth of the alleyway however he had to pull short, bumping a pile of trash as he did so. After bumping into it the pile teetered as if it was going to fall, forcing Kotaro to put his hands against it to keep it stable. Cursing his luck, Kotaro did his best to crouch and blend with the dark alleyway as he watched the girl in front of the restaurant. Naturally he wondered why the girl had decided to come to the restaurant at that particular moment and mentally urged her to quickly move on so he could finish his planned attack and get home. After all the longer he had to wait and hold the pile of trash in place the more chance there was of someone finding him. Everyone is a hero in their own eyes. |
