Stats!

Your character's personality, fighting style, their Avatar's armor, weapons, and size all play a big part in distinguishing Duel Avatars from one another. We would describe this as qualitative information. However, everyone puts a lot of thought and heart into their characters, and disputes over who "really" deserved victory would often occur if we base combat solely on that. As such, we need some numbers to further describe your Duel Avatar's capabilities; quantitative information, also known as your stats! They're fairly self-explanatory as far as what they do. At the moment, the stats will be more of a guideline than anything - a character with higher Agility/Speed than his opponent's Accuracy is going to be capable of dodging more often, for example, or a character with higher Endurance/Defense than his opponent's offensive stat (Strength or Ranged Firepower) will be able to survive more attacks than usual. For now, all characters need a 1 in 4 stats, and can only have a 0 in EITHER Strength or Ranged Firepower, because... you need to be able to attack.
"Your Royal Saxiness, what on earth are the stats though? And why do you color code them? And how do I put points into them so I can obliterate my enemies?"
The Stats are:
Strength: Melee Attacking Power! Brute Force.
Ranged Firepower: How big are your guns?
Agility/Speed: Not only how fast you are, but how easily you can change the direction of your movement.
Accuracy: How good you are at hitting your target.
Endurance/Defense: How well you withstand your opponent's attacks.
They're color-coded because I find it "prettier" this way. The colors I've used for each Stat are a rough translation on the specialty of a pure-color Duel Avatar. Since there's no "jamming/hacking" stat, the specialty of Yellow Legion in the anime, I've made Agility/Speed, the "dodge" stat, their specialty for numbers purposes only. Finishers and Armaments can still be illusion/jamming based for Yellow Avatars, if that's what you want to go with.
NOW FOR THE PART YOU REALLY WANTED: The number of points you get to spend. At Lvl 1, you get 10 points to distribute however you want, as long as you have at least "1" in 4 stats. At each Level-up, you get 3 more points to spend. I know, that doesn't seem like an awful lot, 40 points total IF you get to level 10, but it adds up. Plus, this puts a lot of weight on the way you spend your points, so try not to mess it up!
