Personality: Kiyomi is a naturally nice and sweet person. She treats others with kindness and respect, doing her best to keep an open mind about everything. On the outside anyway. In her mind Kiyomi thinks of herself higher than others. She feels that she deserves more than most people and believes that she had been cheated by life since she had yet to achieve such great feats. Until she feel that somebody has earned her respect she may show off her rude face when not in public.
History: Kiyomi had been born into a wealthy family. Her father was the owner of the high class sea side restaurant in Ota and her mother would stay at home to watch over her and her older brother. As a young child Kiyomi's father would often bring her to work with him, his workers and customers fell in love with the child, they would offer her food and ice cream at any chance they had, making her the face of the bussiness and earning her the name of "The little Empress" among the restaurant and her family. When she was 9 her and her father had been driving towards the restaurant for a business meeting when their car had been struck by a speeding vehicle. Luckily Kiyomi had gotten out of the incident with only minor head injuries, however her memory of the accident had been completely wiped. Her father on the other hand had no been so lucky, the oncoming car had hit on his side of the vehicle killing him on impact. While his death was a painful time in Kiyomi's life it was not something she couldn't begin to heal from over time. However his death had left her family without any kind of income. With her older brother now grown and moved out it was just her and her mother left to fend for themselves. With her mother unable to work Kiyomi was forced to get a job as soon as possible to provide for the two of them. She would jump from odd job to odd job hating having to work under such awful conditions and for such low income.
It was through her work that Kiyomi had met Chou. Chou was a year older than Kiyomi and had worked at a cafe with her for a a couple of months. During this time the two girls had grown to be close friends. However after those months had flown by Chou had admitted to Kiyomi that she was going to be moving away, it was time for her to head off to college. Despite depressing feeling that came with the loss of a friend there was a slight happiness in Kiyomi, Chou had invited her over to her house saying that she wanted to give the girl "One last gift" before she moved away. Kiyomi was more than happy to go over to the girls house, allowing herself to be treated to diner before the two escaped into Chou's room. The other girl pulled out a direct link cable before hastily snapping it into Kiyomi's Nerve gear. Kiyomi was nervous, her face became blood shot as she waited for her "Gift". The other girl quickly dragged her fingers through the air as she cycled through some of her Nerve gear setting before sending Kiyomi a file. Kiyomi hesitated for a moment confused by the gift, neither of them had ever talked to each other about playing online games with each other. After a bit of persuasion by Chou she nervously downloaded the program. Chou didn't bother to explain anything to her, but instead kicked her out of her house saying how busy she was and how many things she had to do before her flight tomorrow, it was Kiyomi's last time seeing her friend.
That night Kiyomi had her nightmare. It started with her looking down at the dirt, the slight pressure on her hands and knees gave her the feeling that she was kneeling however her sense felt disconnected from her body. She tried to look around but her head was locked in place, she twisted slightly to look up. A man stood above her, his black outfit and black mask covered every inch of his body as he reached over to pick up something heavy, a large axe soon came into site. Kiyomi's breaths quickened as she began to panic but it was no use, her movement was completely restricted. She watched the man begin to raise his axe into the air above her before turning her head back towards the ground to avoid looking at it, she tried to scream but her mouth did not move and her voice did not work, she felt as if her lips were sown shut. She felt a pinch on her neck and knew that the deed was done. However there was no pain, and her head did not seem to move anywhere, her vision stayed in the same spot. She watched in horror as a golden crown slid off of her head, clattering onto the floor beneath her. No more than a second later and a sphere followed, she watched as her head rolled onto the floor in front of her. Her eyes jolted open as she sprung up in her bed, cold sweat enveloped her body as she began to shake in fear.
The next day she had received a text from Chou, telling her not to connect to the global net work until she was ready. She didn't really understand, but she listened. As Kiyomi walked into school that day the world around her slowly began to shatter. The sky turned a sick green and building began to decay. Before she knew it the virtual world had completely taken over all of her sense and in front of her stood a tall lanky green robot, a hand fan in its right hand. An HP bar popped into Kiyomi's vision. Was this the game that Chou had given her the day before? She let her hands fall down, one of which began to rest at something by her side, she tugged at it and a long golden blade came into vision. The "Opponent" made no hesitation, with a swift snap of her wrist the hand fan came flying at Kiyomi. She hesitated, unsure of what to do and the blade flew directly into her side, taking a huge chunk out of the metal that she had turned into. She look at the HP bar at the top, hers instantly fell down to half way as pain engorged itself on her. Kiyomi realized now that this was in fact a game, a fighting game. She pointed the blade at the green avatar and began to dash towards it in preparation for an attack. However she couldn't even come close to the speed of her opponent. With hand fan already cocked for another blow the Avatar sliced with the small hand held object, obliterating the rest of Kiyomi's life bar. Her world instantly changed once again back to what it had originally been, it seemed that nobody had moved. Moments later she recieved a text from Chou, explaining everything that had just happened and all about what Accel World was. Kiyomi tried texting her friend back but never received an answer. Was that Green avatar Chou?

Appearance: The Byzantium Empress is of average size height yet has a frail frame. With a predominantly humanoid figure the Byzantium Empress stands with near perfect posture. Normal round head aside from the top which comes to a jagged crown around the top of her head, the tallest of the stalagmite like points is around a 6 inches tall. Two sharp diamond like eyes, slightly lighter than the rest of her purple body. The rest of her body is a fairly average yet sleek build. Where her elbow would are instead stretched out as pointed extensions to her arms, same with where the knee caps should be. Where her feet should be there is instead high heel like shoes taking their place. From the waist down is a interlocked pattern of elongated hexagons, starting from wrapped around the slim mechs waist to expanding outwards an extra foot wide.
Combat Style: Byzantium Empress takes full advantage of her offensive stats distribution. She goes head long at her enemy doing her best to keep her opponent on edge without a moments hesitation. However thats not to say that she goes berserk. If she sees that her headlong rush strategy isn't effective she will back off and think of a better way to go about shredding her opponent. Whenever she's ready to fire off her ranged finishers she will use her speed to make a hasty retreat to safely fire off the powers.

Weapons: Imperial Saw Blade - A long slender black sheath rests at her side. Black threads weave up and down the handle with patches of white showing off the true colors of the handle. The golden hilt is no more than a stub at the end of the handle. The hand guard is is single strand of golden metal connecting a hollow saw like circle to the rest of the weapon. Upon drawing the sword it is revealed to be a bright golden metal with serrated deadly looking edges. The blade is stretched out to a whopping 4 foot in length.
Finishers: Stalking servants - Byzantium Empress makes an X shaped slash in front of her leaving a dark purple almost black void like trail in its place. 5 small purple darts fly out of each slash and quickly follow the opponent around the map until they hit a target or are destroyed. Upon making contact they stick into opponent and then detonate themselves in a blast of purple energy. After 30 seconds the dark X that the servants had previously flown out of will self destruct into its own blast of purple energy.
